Grants – local OR international!

Due to Rotary’s support,
nearly  three (3) billion children  have been immunized against polio and are protected for life against this crippling disease.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE THIS YEAR!
IT'S TRULY APPRECIATED!

Please, don’t forget to register your events on EndPolioNow.org so others can see all the good you're doing!

November is Foundation month in the world of Rotary.
It's a great time for clubs to hold celebration dinners, honour club members, and thank the community for their support!

One special upcoming celebration,
to which you are ALL invited,
is Past RI President/Foundation Trustee Jennifer Jones’ Foundation dinner
on November 13th in Kingston!

This will be a great, up-close opportunity, to meet with Jennifer and share in all the good works of Rotary!

If you're able to attend, we would love to have you register as soon as possible!

See you then!!!

President's Thoughts

CHANGING THINGS UP

You might start to notice an attempt to change things up at our club meetings.  Several fun and engaging initiatives are being tried, including;

a) Starting the meeting 15 minutes earlier to cover the 'business matters' (or 'boring matters' some have told me!), followed by club fun.

b) Breakout rooms, to get to know one another.

c) Guest Speakers.

d) Themed events during the meeting e.g. Best poker hand is the first one - I'll explain at the meeting.  (Nb: Its not gambling)

e) Member presentations on vocation, hobbies, or anything of interest.

f) Learning about Rotary presentations.

.... and anything else .... Suggestions welcome!

As a Passport Club we struggle to interact.  I recently met fellow member Simmy Ahluwalia (and PDG Pardeep) at their home for a coffee.  What a joy!  It took a phone call and 13 minutes of driving.  We do need to put in a tiniest bit of effort to make it happen.

I challenge you all to connect, some way, any way, with other members.  Deep down we know already that it's the only way to grow as a person and a club.  Think about what you can do.

CLUB SURVEY

I kindly ask all members to take a moment to complete the survey that was recently sent out. Your feedback is essential for the betterment of our club, and we truly value your input. There are no wrong answers.  Thank you for helping us improve!
