Well as everyone knows – our September meeting is coming up this Tuesday, September 29th at 5:00 PM The link is at the top left corner of our Bulletin, so we are hoping for another great turnout. Hard to believe that summer is now behind us and we are now once again head into into autumn.
The Agenda for Tuesday's meeting and Minutes of the last meeting will be circulated to everyone by early Tuesday morning or before if at all possible.
Please make special note of the Club Runner Training opportunities via Zoom coming up on Wednesday September 30thand again the next day on October 1st. As the declining “Make-up” stats indicate (please see Ariane's "Membership Corner - later in this Bulletin) we can do a great deal better as we try and reach for that 100% Attendance Goal that we are striving for. Many of us have a great many make-up opportunities that we should be reporting and if struggling with Club Runner is the problem, here’s a chance to break that cycle.
Membership Chair Ariane has scheduled two opportunities this week for any of us who need some training in this regard. If that includes you, please take note. 7-8 PM on Wednesday the 30th and 1-2PM Eastern time on Thursday.
And speaking of make-ups many of our members are doing a multitude of different things in our communities and we should be celebrating these wins which add up to a great impact. Please remember to take photos and send them on in to me along with a brief story or caption to help share this knowledge with everyone and perhaps stir some ideas that we can all learn from.
A couple of issues ago I promised to provide you with an update on the Mississauga Club’s Chase the Ace 50/50 Ontario Rotary Lottery. I am advised by Dale Shearer the Mississauga Clun member who now leading this initiative they have submitted a new "Chase The Ace" application to the Lottery Corporation for their proposed new format and they are hopeful that approval will come in time to relaunch the lottery in November – so please continue to stand by for more news on this exciting fund raising opportunity.
And finally, your Foundation Committee headed by President Jacinthe, met again on Friday morning this past week and discussed plans for our Foundation Month of activities in November, as well as our key End Polio Day Event on October 24th. Brian Foster has been working hard with a great committee of folks on a special On-Line Fundraiser Concert that we are co-sponsoring with the West Ottawa Club to raise funds for the Foundation and specifically for the Foundation’s End Polio Campaign. Stay tuned for more exciting news about this concert, but in the meantime check out President-Elect Maddies's Poster just below and share with your friends and contacts via Social Media!!
