Attendance Records
Since we are now in the month of June, all meetings for 17-18 have been “closed”. What this means is that we can get reports of makeups done during the year. We cannot get reports if the meeting is still “open.” If you did all your makeups up until May 28, which made your forty that we stated were required, you’re now done. If you still have makeups to add, you can still do that even though the meetings have been closed for reporting purposes. Our average this year is at 55%, but the last few months have not seen a lot of makeups recorded. Try to do this as soon as possible since the Rotary year finishes on June 30.
Meeting dates for July and August in the 18-19 Rotary year have been added. If you have completed what you need to for the 17-18 year, it is possible to start recording for the following year. You need to check the heading at the top and make sure that you’re in the new year. Our Documents section shows what you can use as a makeup.
Meeting June 5
Minutes will be posted this week. You will be receiving an update notice from ClubRunner (generated by me), to fill in any missing information in your profile. If you click on the Rotary tab, you can fill in your classification (what is or was your job). We will be doing more with that in the coming Rotary year, but you can find a Classification Survey and Membership Assessment document in the Documents section under the heading Membership.
You can also fill in designations such as Paul Harris Fellow (and year), Past President (year and club), and anything else that you can think of that should be in there. In the Settings tab, you can enter a Custom Email Signature that will show up anytime you send a message through ClubRunner. Finally make sure that you have recorded your cell phone number, date or birth, and that you have added a photo of yourself. The only way that we get to know each other is through the profile photos. If you have the ClubRunner app on your phone, you will have contact information for all our club members.
At our meeting, it was decided that our dues would be $250.00 CAD ($225.00 CAD for US members) for the Rotary year 2018-19. Remember that we have no meals, so that is it for the year, unless you decide to visit other clubs. Treasurer David will be sending out invoices to everyone by about the end of June. These can be paid through e-transfer of cheque annually, semi-annually or quarterly.
Inspiration Around Every Corner
The club members going to Toronto – Ariane, Fred, Barbara, Curry, Beth, Laird, Hajra, and Jacinthe, decided that we would get together. If anyone else is going please let me know. We will probably meet in the House of Friendship. Saturday is opening day for the House of Friendship so that would be a good time to meet. Have contact information on your phone. We will get in touch as a group before Toronto.

Barbara mentioned the possibility of a cruise before the Convention in Hamburg next year. Information for that is in our Documents section.
Does anyone want to design a certificate/banner representing our club? We need something for the June 15 dinner in Montreal because there will be a banner exchange with members who are visiting from other clubs.

Unfortunately, a case of polio has been reported in Venezuela in the last 24 hours. The last case reported there previously was 1989.
