Documents

You can find all our club documents here. Events with other clubs is updated weekly. Yves Soumillon is now looking after the Events section, so if you find out about something, contact him.

You will find the Zone Newsletter for October, and the Honouring Indigenous People newsletter.

Minutes and Financial reports can also be found there. The minutes of the Sept. 25 meeting are not complete yet.

Bulletins are archived weekly. You can find past bulletins on our homepage or here.

Website advertising

We need more advertisers. We do not do fundraisers unless we are working with other clubs, but advertising is so easy. Find someone who is willing to run an ad. That's all there is to it. There are also more documents in the Document Download section that explain how to go about it.

Stand BY me! this Christmas season

For the last 130 years The Salvation Army has helped thousands of families in Cornwall because this community of friends and partners cared about families in need.

Will you continue to work with us to meet the needs today? The kettle drives will also be in other communities. Find out where you can volunteer.

Will you give the gift of time, and together we can make a difference this Christmas?

Volunteers needed to stand at a Salvation Army kettle starting Monday, November 19th to December 24th.  For more information, please call 613.932.7515 ext.6

Meet the Member - David Wood

Dave Wood joined the Cornwall Rotary Club in 2002 and was involved in a number of service projects to Northern remote communities, (namely elementary schools), in helping them to acquire needed computer technology.  He was active in the club and heavily involved in hosting exchange students from Brazil, France, Germany and China.  He left the club due to work commitments and was happy to hear of the new format for the passport club two years ago.  The dynamics fit much more readily with his schedules and he was a quick sell to membership.  He is a charter member and the club Treasurer.  He and Yves Soumillon are partnering to lead the District Simplified Grant for the Youth Now Farm.

David lives with his wife Sandy and his youngest daughter Sara.  He currently owns and operates high risk youth centres and programs in the Peterborough, Ottawa and Cornwall area and is in the midst of retiring and selling his business.  He is a youth pastor at First Baptist Church in Cornwall and enjoys leading worship services there.  David is committed to the Four Way Test of Rotary and to the principle of service above self.

How will you celebrate World Polio Day?

See another letter from RI President Barry Rassin in the Documents section. While you are there, take a look to see what else we have for our club members. Join us on 24 October and help spread the word about polio eradication in your community. LEARN MORE https://www.endpolio.org/world-polio-day
