Remember, our in-person club social this Wednesday, October 30, in Ottawa.
It's a chance for fellowship and to get to know each other
over lunch at a great restaurant. Contact Len Goddard for details.
The District Conference is next weekend in Clayton, NY.
Meet fellow Rotarians from across our District
and make and solidify relationships.
Hopefully, we'll see you there!
Secretary's Thoughts
Please note that with our next Bulletin we will eliminate references to the special activities of other clubs within the district in the Upcoming Events section. This is a duplication with our District Web site. If you are looking for make-up opportunities please find those events and activities on the District site.
Also With Ariane's help I have finally learned how to update and make changes with our Documents section. Once you have logged onto our web site go to Member Area, then Click on Organization, then on the next header below that click on Documents. There are various folders and almost everything you might need is there.
Hope to see and hear everyone on Tuesday night at 5PM You can find the agenda near the top of the Documents Page or click on the link here: or use this handy link:
Please also note that our monthly Board meetings have now been reintegrated with our regular Monthly Club Meetings as they were in previous years. The Board meeting section occurs near the front end of the agenda.

Membership News
We are still looking for another member for the Membership Committee. The Rotary Citation requires that we have 5 members on the committee. Please contact Ariane if interested.
Also please let Ariane know if you do not have a Passport Club name tag. We to need place an order soon for new members who do not yet have a name tag.
Rotary Youth Exchange
Last year we discussed the possibility of sponsoring a short-term exchange because it is a one-on-one exchange and does not involve having to look for host families.
Rotary Youth Exchange is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 program. Short Term applicants (for summer 2020) need to use the Preliminary Short-Term application (EN). The club information they need to put in is D7040 Passport.
Once preliminary applications are received, interviews will be scheduled. All applications are due by October 31st, interviews in November. Send to either Jacinthe Paille or Ariane Carriere. Our deadline to submit paperwork to the District is December 1st. No info session is currently scheduled.
Mentorship and the Rotary FAR Project
As Club members know, Margaret Shibley is our special liaison regarding the Rotary FAR Project and our partnership on this project with the Cataraqui-Kingston Club.
Margaret will be updating us on any recent developments with this project and it should be noted that a separate Folder on our Documents Page has been added to cover all Far Project Documents.
