Makeups

When was the last time that you entered a makeup? Now that the holidays are over and life is getting back to normal, make sure that you keep this up. The instructions for entering makeups are on our club's home page under Downloads.

Dues

Are you up to date with your dues? Check with Treasurer David if you are caught up or behind. Our January invoice from RI will be coming soon.

Student Travel for Adventure in Citizenship

Since there have been no objections to this proposal, I have contacted Rene Melchers that we will go ahead and work out the details before May. This is something that will allow our club to achieve a youth service project without having to worry about the Youth Protection Policy. Stay tuned.

Rotary Friendship Exchange – 2018

The 7040 Rotary Friendship Exchange committee is currently working with the Friendship Exchange committee of D3040 (Bhopal, India) to finalize an exchange for late 2018.

It has been proposed that our Exchange counterparts visit Canada at the time the International Convention (Toronto, June 21-27) and then visit D7040 for two weeks following the International Convention.  At this point, the exact dates are still being worked out.

We now have two requests:  we are looking for Clubs who would be willing to host our Indian guests (approximately 12 participants) for 2-3 days as well as D7040 Rotarians who would be interested in going to India on a RFE in late 2018 or early 2019. Contact PDG Katie Burke if interested.

Meet the Member

Ryan Titus joined us just before the new year. In his words: I am from Moira, NY. I went to college at Albany College of Pharmacy. I am a member of many profession (pharmacist) organizations. At the Canton-Potsdam hospital I am Oncology Pharmacist, and at Clarkson University I am Assistant Professor and Course Coordinator of Pharmacotherapeutics. Also, I am a Son of the American Legion, and a member of the Potsdam Elks Club.

I have been a server at the Rotary spaghetti dinner. I like to play golf and music (guitar and fiddle.) I want to be a Rotarian because it's a great opportunity to help my local community and meet new people.

Have you donated to the Rotary Foundation yet this year?
