End of Rotary Year Notes
There will not be a bulletin next Sunday because of the International Convention. Look for pictures on our Facebook page.
Minutes from June 5 are posted. You should have received an update notice from ClubRunner (generated by me), to fill in any missing information in your profile. If you click on the Rotary tab, you can fill in your classification (what is or was your job). We will be doing more with that in the coming Rotary year, but you can find a Classification Survey and Membership Assessment document in the Documents section under the heading Membership.
You can also fill in designations such as Paul Harris Fellow (and year), Past President (year and club), and anything else that you can think of that should be in there. In the Settings tab, you can enter a Custom Email Signature that will show up anytime you send a message through ClubRunner. Finally make sure that you have recorded your cell phone number, date or birth, and that you have added a photo of yourself. The only way that we get to know each other is through the profile photos. If you have the ClubRunner app on your phone, you will have contact information for all our club members.
Treasurer David has sent out invoices to everyone, due July 1. These can be paid through e-transfer to
d7040passport@gmail.com, or cheque mailed to Dave, annually, semi-annually or quarterly. Please pay as quickly as possible so that we can pay the club dues to Rotary International and to the District, as well as our insurance for the year.
At our June 5 meeting, it was decided that our dues would be $250.00 CAD ($225.00 CAD for US members) for the Rotary year 2018-19. Remember that we have no meals, so that is it for the year, unless you decide to visit other clubs.
Inspiration Around Every Corner
The club members going to Toronto – Ariane, Fred, Barbara, Curry, Beth, Laird, Hajra, and Jacinthe, decided that we would get together. If anyone else is going please let me know. Did you know that is more than a quarter of our club membership! Have contact information on your phone. We will get in touch as a group before Toronto.
Rotary Fellowships combine passion, friendship, and service
Rotary offers many opportunities to connect with others in your club and district who share similar passions. You also have many opportunities to connect with members globally.
Rotary Fellowships provide a great way to make new friends around the world and enhance your Rotary experience. The fellowships are international, independently organized groups of Rotarians, family members, program participants, and alumni who share a common passion. These groups range in interest from tennis to wine, marathon running to cooking, scuba diving to recreational vehicles, jazz to computers, and more.
Currently, Rotary International officially recognizes 78 Rotary Fellowships. The groups reported a combined membership of 82,218 people in more than 150 countries in 2016-17. View a list of all fellowships and join one today!
June is Rotary Fellowships Month. Read the Rotary Service blog to learn more about fellowship activities and service efforts.
