Application for a District Simplified Grant for Sonshine Families Inclusion Centre
By Ariane Carriere, Immediate Past President
At last Tuesday’s meeting on the 28th, Len Goddard talked about things that were needed for a new inclusion centre that his organization is opening. As we all know, our club does not have a lot of money, but we are qualified for grants for next year. Since the deadline for District Simplified Grants was April 30, I went to work the following day. Everything went well and the grant application has been submitted. You can find the following documents in our Document section, or by clicking on the link for each one.
- Grant application
- Current RI rates. The grant application must be in US dollars
- A letter from Len as director of Sonshine Families in how Rotarians and his organization work together
- A one-page summary of what the Centre is about
- A list of items that require sponsorship
This grant is for the next year, so the $1000 CAD should be included in the budget for next year. Possible start date if the grant is approved may be September.
What is your intention for next year?
Ariane Carriere, Membership Chair
David, our treasurer has told us that his intention is to get invoices for dues out in May.
We need to know if you may be thinking of leaving the club so that we will not be sending you an invoice. Also remember that if you are on the roster July 1 we will be billed by RI and by the district for you.
There is no need to do anything if you are staying with us, and we hope you do. We have three honorary members who will become active members in June as well.
Thank you for continuing to add in your makeups. We are now at over 50%.
Bylaws
Amended bylaws were approved at the April 28 meeting. They will be loaded in the document section soon. A copy will be sent to Bette Miller, District Chair of the Legislation Committee.
