Documents

You can find all our club documents here. Events with other clubs is updated weekly. Yves Soumillon is now looking after the Events section, so if you find out about something, contact him.

You will find the Zone Newsletter for October, and the Honouring Indigenous People newsletter.

You will find a copy of a report that I was surveyed about for challenges facing our club and membership. Read it and see if you agree with our Membership Challenges.

Minutes and Financial reports can also be found there. The minutes of the Sept. 25 meeting will be there next week, they are not complete yet.

Bulletins are archived weekly. You can find past bulletins on our homepage or here.

Website advertising

We need more advertisers. We do not do fundraisers unless we are working with other clubs, but advertising is so easy. Find someone who is willing to run an ad. That's all there is to it. There are also more documents in the Document Download section that explain how to go about it.

Rotary Membership Dues
The dues that our club pays to Rotary allow the Secretariat to provide quality and efficient support to Rotarians worldwide. Maintaining club data online can help us keep our membership information current and accurate. Your club president, secretary, and other officers can use My Rotary or your local system to:

  • Update membership information within 30 days of any changes, or by 1 January or 1 July, whichever is sooner.
  • Make sure the names of all current officers are correct and that all future officers are named no later than 1 February. TIP: Set up a club email that can be transferred to future officers to ensure uninterrupted communications with Rotary.
  • Confirm that email addresses for all members are current.

If you cannot update your information online, email data@rotary.org.

Per capita dues
Rotary per capita dues per half year are as follows:

2018-2019: $32.00
2019-2020: $34.00

All clubs are billed $1 per member on their July invoice to help defray the costs of the Council on Legislation. invoices include an $8 charge for The Rotarian magazine, whether you receive an online or paper copy. If you want to receive a paper copy, email data@rotary.org or call our Circulation Department at 847-424-5216 or 847-424-5217.

District Dues
Currently our district dues are $39 CAD per member, with $23 for insurance for Canadians only. These dues are paid only once a year.

Club dues
We charge $250 per member per year. This includes all the above dues, a website fee, and some contingency funds. When we have a face-to-face meeting, costs will be decided at the time.

How will you celebrate World Polio Day?

See the letter from RI President Barry Rassin in the Documents section. While you are there, take a look to see what else we have for our club members. Dave Wood posted a financial report for our September 25 meeting.

Whether you’re hosting a fundraiser, planning a 5k run, or placing ads around town, there are countless ways your club can be a part of World Polio Day. Join us on 24 October and help spread the word about polio eradication in your community. LEARN MORE https://www.endpolio.org/world-polio-day

Entering Makeups

Please review your makeups. We are averaging about 33% but I know that some of you have done more than you have recorded. The session on how to use ClubRunner was recorded. Check our home page.

ClubRunner also has recorded videos and webinars. Check out https://clubrunner.kayako.com/section/802-recorded-webinars

Club shirts

Now taking orders for club shirts. These are what I found at the Zone Conference in Montreal. They will be $45 each and will have the club logo on them. There is a woman's shirt on the left and men's on the right. Let me know what size you want.

SO FAR I ONLY HAVE ONE ORDER!

Club Brochures

Are you interested in receiving some club brochures to hand out if you attend a Rotary meeting? You can find a copy in the Governance section of our Documents to print your own, or send an email to have some mailed to you.
