Til next week ...

        Secretary's Thoughts

Hello again fellow D7040 Passport Rotarians,

Just a reminder that our regular monthly club meeting is scheduled for this Tuesday at 5:00PM Eastern time. I am currently out of the country on vacation and unfortunately will not be able to attend this week, but will look forward to watching the video.  Have a great meeting and a great week!

Terry

Happy Birthday, Rotary!

By Jacinthe Paillé, President-Elect

As President Chris is celebrating 15 years in Rotary, Rotary is celebrating 115 years of existence today, February 23rd! Congratulations to both Chris and our organizations and wishing you both many more years of service.
What can we do today to celebrate Rotary? Here are a few ideas!
-Invite someone to join our fantastic D7040 Passport Club by telling them about all the good Rotary does in the world
-Post a photo of yourself doing an activity that will count as one of your makeups, such as volunteering at your child’s school or attending another Rotary Club meeting while you’re travelling
-Write a short biography of yourself and send it to Terry to include in an upcoming club bulletin
-Donate to the Rotary Foundation! Just click here: https://www.rotary.org/en/donate
Let’s cheer for an amazing organization and here’s to 115 more years of fun, fellowship, and service!

Maddie's Musings

Please note that Maddie's Musings will be back in this spot again next week!

Prospective 50 50 Ontario Rotary On Line Lottery winners

As a follow up to last week we are still hoping to finalize at least three Ontario-based Charities that our club would like to sponsor in the Ontario Rotary online 50/50 Lottery.  So far we have two prospective charities:

The Ottawa Rotary Home - nominated by David Whyte

and

The Agape Food Bank in Cornwall nominated by Ariane Carriere

and a third:  The Cataraqui Rotary FAR Project nominated by Margaret Shibley which we cannot finalize until it has been approved by Rotary International so is still pending.

If you have other projects to propose please pass along to Secretary Terry Forth.  Once approved by our Board we will also need agreement from the respective charity as well as a JPEG copy of the charity logo and a brief description of the charity goals etc.  Please note to be eligible for our sponsorship prospective charities must be registered and active in the province of Ontario.
