Raise for Rotary – Another Opportunity to Support Ukraine
Raise for Rotary is a Rotary Foundation fundraising platform that provides clubs and districts with an avenue to create fundraisers that support The Rotary Foundation. Some benefits of this platform include:
Empowering Rotary members – Raise for Rotary is a custom-branded platform integrated with our online giving system. It makes it easier to create a fundraiser that supports specific Rotary causes, such as the areas of focus, fighting polio or disaster response, and it expands our reach on social media.
Giving donors recognition credit – Donors who give through Raise for Rotary using the email address they use for other Rotary functions, such as their My Rotary account, will receive Rotary giving credit and recognition.
Minimizing fees to do more Good – External fundraising platforms have fee structures, rules, and guidelines. By creating our forum, we can process gifts more efficiently and accurately. And that means more of the funds donated go directly toward Doing Good in the World.

As you all likely know, the upheaval in Ukraine comes at an enormous human cost. Rotarians in neighbouring countries have not hesitated to step forward and take the lead in humanitarian efforts to support those who are in Ukraine as well as those who have left. There is an article on our district's website with links for those of us who are interested in learning more or supporting these efforts. For those of you in Montreal, the Rotary Club of Westmount is hosting a pub night next weekend at Ye Olde Orchard Pub.
The District's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is meeting on Monday at 7 pm EDT. Click here for more info and the Zoom link!
World Rotaract Week is wrapping up, but a focus on Rotaract doesn't end here. Click here to check out our district's Rotaract Facebook page to stay up to date with their projects and fun.
Have a great week!

Still checking with some District folk on details in our revisions to the Passport Bylaws. Getting terrific and knowledgeable support.
Is it too early to talk about next steps? As soon as we get the bylaws finalized, we will be working together toward a Passport Club Vision and Strategic Plan. In negotiations now to get some professional help on this as a pilot project for the District. That would really start us off on solid ground - and put us on the map.
Please check all updated information for the District Conference on the district website, www.rotary7040.com, information box top left corner.
Responding to
the Crisis in the Ukraine
In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, The Rotary Foundation has created an official channel for Rotary members around the world to contribute funds to support the relief efforts underway by Rotary districts and has designated its Disaster Response Fund as the main avenue for contributions.
Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund in support of Ukraine can be made here. All funds need to be received into the Disaster Response Fund by 30 April 2022 in order to qualify for use in support of the Ukrainian relief efforts.
Although the Disaster Response Fund will be the main avenue for Rotary Foundation support, Rotary and Rotaract clubs are also encouraged to create their own responses to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
