Today is World Polio Day
Apologies for a late bulletin. A solid week of meetings will do that.
Polio Timeline
Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years. Since 1979, we have vaccinated more than 2.5 billion children. But we haven't done it alone. Here is a timeline for our partnerships:
Notes
Mark in your makeups as soon as you get this bulletin.
Quarterly dues should have been paid as of October 1.
Look for pictures of the Youth Now visit on the club Facebook page.
Board members
Welcome to our newest Director. Len Goddard has accepted to become Director of Service Projects. Even though we are not directly involved in a club project, individuals can take part in anything that other clubs are doing. So far, we’ve assisted with parking at the Williamstown fair, the Brockville golf tournament, selling mums, and perhaps soon selling calendars. Len will be in touch about that.
Agenda items for Board meeting
Our next online Board meeting is tomorrow, Wednesday, October 25 at 7:00 pm
https://www.gotomeet.me/Rotary7040 . Of course, anyone is welcome to attend. If you have items that you want on the agenda, contact Ariane.

Resources to meet RI President Riseley’s tree-planting challenge
|
President Ian Riseley challenges all 1.2 million Rotarians to plant a tree before Earth Day, 22 April 2018. The Environmental Sustainability Rotarian Action Group has compiled inspirational ideas and helpful tips to aid clubs in meeting the challenge.
Consider working with the Food Plant Solutions Rotarian Action Group to identify edible plants with the greatest nutritional value for the region where you wish to plant trees. The group can help your club and district understand the connection between plant selection and nutrition, while meeting Riseley’s tree-planting challenge.
There is still time for us to plant a tree before the snow flies.
