Hello to all my Fellow D7040 Passport Club Rotarians,
Our annual “Crossover Meeting”is coming up fast on June 30th where we will welcome Jacinthe as our new President and say goodbye to President Chris. I know that everyone has had that date marked on their calendars now for some time.
Meanwhile I hope that everyone is logging in to our RI Virtual Convention - our first on line virtual convention in Rotary history. It has been a great opportunity to get updated on what Rotarians have been doing around the world on so many fronts and quite inspirational. In particular the efforts that are being waged in the trenches to help fight the Covid 19 Pandemic.
The opening and closing general assemblies have taken place, and now it's on to the various breakout groups and visits to the House of Friendship.
Don't miss this great opportunity, just go to this link:
then scroll down to sign up for the various events!
Have a great coming week,
Yours in Rotary,
Terry
Once again, here's an important message from Rotary International:
Masks
By Ariane Carriere
(Editors note: This message from Ariane is a repeat, but important enough to run again just in case you missed)
Are any of you sewing masks? We just recently saw a Facebook post from another club and decided that it might be a way for our club to fundraise. Simmy and I have been doing a lot of sewing so we want to put this announcement out:
For a $10.00 donation to the D7040 Passport Club, you will receive a mask as a thank you for helping our Club help our community. These are not medical grade masks, have not been tested, and are not certified in anyway, but are simply homemade masks to provide an extra barrier. This project will help provide an additional level of protection and help provide the Rotary Club with funds to serve others. You may use e-transfer or PayPal for the donation. Contact ariane.carriere@rotary7040.com if interested.
If you are sewing masks, let me know and we’ll see how we can get this together
