Entering Makeups
If you are entering makeups for July, you will notice that two dates say "do not use". Someone added extra meetings and I am not able to delete them anymore. I will need to write to ClubRunner to find out what the problem is.
There will be a webinar on October 2 for anyone still having a problem with ClubRunner entries and Rotary Club Central. The session will be recorded.
T-shirts
T-shirts arrived in time for the fundraiser on August 31:
The cost worked out to $12.50 per shirt if you pick up at Ariane's place, or make some other arrangement. If you want your shirt mailed, the cost is $15.00. Please send and e-transfer to ariane.carriere@rotary7040.com . I paid for them and it's easier to just transfer to me.
Linking Leaders: A Civic Leadership Series on Housing & Homelessness.
An exciting new working group is forming in Ottawa. They want to engage leaders to learn more about emerging practices that address housing insecurity and homelessness at a comprehensive systems level. They believe they can inspire solutions and facilitate actions that will help improve our community’s response to homelessness so Ottawa can achieves its goals.
This is a serious working group with a short time line comprised of four sessions
scheduled between Sept 19 and Nov 22 (all are Wednesday nights 6-9 pm except for the last one on National Housing Day). To participate, please confirm your participation by replying to Kaite Burkholder Harris (
kaite.burkholder@gmail.com).
Reminder: if you are volunteering in the community it would be wonderful if you identified yourself as a Rotarian (wear a shirt, pin, etc.) so as to raise the profile of Rotary.
