GoToMeeting Report from April 19
We had a great meeting, even though internet problems caused an interruption.
We discussed how to update your ClubRunner profile, see left. If you are having problems, contact Ariane.
Ariane showed everyone how to sign in and go to My ClubRunner, My Attendance. There was discussion about how often this needed to be done. Attendance credits were basically accepted as per document sent out before, and most agreed that we could live with signing in once a week, but that we could stretch our attendance credit over a period of time. Again, if you need help with the ClubRunner feature, contact Ariane.
Evelyn Kembel volunteered to be Club Secretary and David Wood agreed to be Club Treasurer. Everyone agreed that we would put our dues at $225.00 CAD, but that it could change depending on website sponsorship.
Youth and vulnerable persons' protection was discussed. If you are working with a Rotary Club, take their direction. It does not hurt to have a police check every year.
For planning purposes, we agreed on a 10% member increase for next year; everyone to donate to the Rotary Foundation; everyone to enter personal attendance credits; and, we need to establish our role in the District 7040 Rotary family.
Next meeting
Our next meeting will be May 13, in Cornwall after the Foundation Walk (registration attached). If you participate, that will give you some attendance credits right away. There is also a donor sheet attached if you want to collect pledges. Rotarians only need ID numbers, but for anyone else you need an address.
If you do not want to participate in the walk, we will start at 2:00 pm, still trying to find a location. At this face-to-face meeting we will go over the constitution and bylaws. They are attached for you to review. If there are questions or concerns, try to discuss them on our closed Facebook group. If you do not belong yet, look it up.
The Rotarian Magazine
When we are chartered, RI wants to know how you want to receive the Rotarian magazine. Unless you let Ariane know that you want a printed copy, we will assume that you want an electronic copy.
