Teaching peace is no different than any other skill. It can be cultivated with the proper practice, passion, and guidance.
The seven Peace Centres – located in Bangkok, Thailand, Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA, Bradford, England, Tokyo, Japan, Brisbane, Australia, Kampala, Uganda, and Uppsala, Sweden – guide peace fellows to become catalysts of peace. Through academic training, practisehttps://lnkd.in/eN7TPeEp, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Fellowship leads to fulfilling careers that involve building peace in their everyday lives.

A service opportunity in the Ottawa area - Sunshine's annual Spring Clean up
Sonshine has appreciated the support of Rotary in the past - from computers for our Day Programs to annual Spring Clean-up at the Cove. The numbers at the Day Program are growing and we expect to soon reach capacity. We are doing the Spring Clean up at the Cove again this year on Victoria Day Weekend in May. If anyone would like to help for the day on Saturday May 21, their help would be appreciated. The camp is 120 km north of Orleans in Quebec. Let me know if you want more information and might be able to help.
Club Vision Exercise
Please don't forget to record your thoughts and opinions on the Current Status survey questionnaire you received Friday morning. This initial survey collects your thoughts on how and what Passport Club is doing now. Plotting a path into the future requires an understanding of where we are now. As well, it is important that all opinions are gathered so that we are able to move together. Don't assume your opinion is the same as that of everybody else, or that if it isn't, it is unimportant or invalid. Even if your message is entirely unique, it may be the thought that resonates with everybody else once they've heard it!
To get THERE, we need to know where HERE is.
