What is a Rotary Foundation Bequest Society Member?
Those who have made commitments for future gifts of $10,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation are invited to join the Bequest Society. Donors may elect to receive various benefits and recognition pieces commemorating their commitment at each new recognition level, including pins, crystals, named funds, and special seating at the Rotary International Convention. A bequest gift of at least $10,000 in your name to The Rotary Foundation creates a legacy of your generosity and compassion as you are helping many people live better lives around the world. Today there are over 18,000 Bequest Society Members worldwide.
Will you join them by leaving a gift to Rotary in your estate? Ask me to put you in contact with The Rotary Foundation's Planned Giving team.
Did you make a donation to PolioPlus when you received your COVID vaccination? It's not too late.
Please join me in congratulating our very own, Jacinthe Paillé, on the publishing of her article "Les petites bibliothèques de rue: une richesse à partager" in Rotary Magazine Canada. Jacinthe, your enthusiasm for literacy is contagious and inspiring!
There's nothing better than being given access to someone's secrets for making their favourite recipe. The Rotary Club of Montreal-Lakeshore put together Rotary Recipes to share the recipes that they love! There is everything from appetizers and desserts to main courses. If you give one a try be sure to take a picture for the rest of us to see!
October 24th is World Polio Day. Yves Soumillon and David Wood are planning a fundraiser in Cornwall - selling Krispy Kreme, doughnuts at Freshco Grocery Store on October 23rd. Yum!

Vision Exercise
Check your e-mail this week for the next step in the conversation about our Vision for D7040 Passport Club. You will get an annotated copy of the deck presented at the Board Meeting 27 Sep. With the notes, it should be equally clear to those who were at the meeting and those who were not, but don’t hesitate to call me if you’ve questions. Make your comments directly in the document, at the end, in a separate e-mail, or call me - whatever works for you - but make your comments!
Goal is to have comments recorded, consolidated, and back out for review prior to discussion at the next Business Meeting. Please know that this is a Club wide exercise, and you will be informed and involved whether you do or don’t attend the Business Meeting.
