District Governor's Foundation Moment

The Foundation Walk.
This past weekend our district held its annual Foundation Walk in the beautiful city of Montréal, in Quebec.
The Foundation Walk was hosted by the Rotary Club of Montréal West & NDG. Many members from across the district participated in the walk.
It was an excellent opportunity to meet and mingle, have Fellowship, and have fun with many Rotarians who had not seen each other in a long time. Our district raised USD 13,000 $ for the Rotary Foundation.
The Rotary Foundation supports many humanitarian projects near and far. It also funds scholarships for individuals in a first-year master’s degree program in any of Rotary's "Seven Areas of Focus." In the few remaining weeks of this Rotary year, let’s finish the year with strong support for our Foundation and reach our goals. www.rotary.org

President's Message

May is Youth Service month and June is Rotary Fellowships month.

The Rotary International Convention is coming up, and while most of us will not be participating live in Houston, we can try to be involved in exciting Rotary initiatives no matter where we are. An important focus this year is providing attendees with a greener experience, and Rotary is using an app created by a late-Rotarian to do so! The Footprint app helps us track and learn about the environmental impact of everything that we do. It's an important step in understanding our interactions with the environment, and a great opportunity to challenge your friends and fellow Rotarians.

Tuesday, May 31st the District Membership Committee will be convening on Zoom at 7 pm EDT. Click here to connect!

On that same day, Rotary International is hosting a #RotaryResponds live event to discuss Rotary-led humanitarian efforts in Ukraine directly on their Facebook page at 11 am EDT.

Have a great Monday and see you on Tuesday,

Maddie

President Elect

As we get closer and closer to the end of Rotary Year 21/22 and transition to the next, conversations, discussions, and plans are underway.

The Vision Exercise will help us clarify and strengthen our goals for the year. See you at our 31 May meeting for an update.
