Documents

You can find all our club documents here. Events with other clubs is updated weekly.
Bulletins are archived weekly. You can find past bulletins on our homepage or here.

Website advertising

We need more advertisers. We do not do fundraisers unless we are working with other clubs, but advertising is so easy. Find someone who is willing to run an ad. That's all there is to it. There are also more documents in the Document Download section that explain how to go about it.

Next meeting

Our next meeting will be July 31, at 7:00 pm. Click on

https://www.gotomeet.me/rotary7040/d7040-passport-club . Try to go online a few minutes before 7 so we can start on time.

It has been a while since our last meeting and there are some things to catch up on. A tentative agenda can be found in Documents. See how to get there in the note at the left. This meeting will be recorded so that anyone who cannot make it will be able to listen to it later. Counts as a makeup.

There is a district International Service Committee meeting on August 25, followed by a grants management seminar in the afternoon. It is well worth it to go to this district meeting. Sign up on the district website, see information at the left.

Meet the Member - Neil Carriere

Neil is a high school teacher at S. Joseph’s Catholic Secondary School in Cornwall. He volunteers as a football coach and is heavily involved in community theatre. He is also a semi-professional stand-up comedian and amateur painter. During the summer months, Neil works with Escape Room at the old Cornwall jail.

Next time in Meet the Member, find out about Hajra Wilson!

Dues: The Value We Receive as Rotarians

Each year Rotarians pay dues that support the function of Rotary International, including the development of new technologies and tools to inspire others to learn, and to expand Rotary. Learn how to adapt these ideas to your club so you can make a greater impact in your community and around the world. Watch the following slide share to find out more.

We have received our invoice from Rotary International. It needs to be paid, so it's important for you to pay the club in a timely manner.

Where are we with our goals for this year?

In order to qualify for a Rotary Citation, there are certain things we need to do in our club database:
  • Birthdates – check yours. No one sees your year of birth, just the date.
  • Who belongs to a Fellowship? Please let me know so that I can update Rotary Club Central.
  • Talk to media. The official line is “Arrange for the club’s members to talk with the media to tell your club’s and Rotary’s story." Do you have a weekly newspaper in your area? They are always looking for items of interest. Give me the link whenever something appears.
  • There are only 2 club members registered for the District Conference. Our goal is to have at least 4 attending. It’s not too late to sign up.

Building New Clubs Together

Join in for a webinar on Building New Clubs. You will learn how chartering new clubs allows you to attract a more diverse membership, pursue new project possibilities, and grow Rotary. The webinar takes place Thursday, 9 August, from 15:00 to 16:00 Chicago time (UTC-5).
At that time, Fred and I will be celebrating our 50th anniversary, so I hope that someone from our club will be able to attend. It counts as a makeup of course.

It's Holiday Time

There will not be a bulletin next week, then one every other week in August. On August 12, I will try to report from Europe. We are back into the regular schedule on August 26.
