Secretary's Thoughts
There are just ten weeks left in this Rotary Year and in fact we will be holding our final meeting on the last day of the Year – June 30th. That’s the date when all of our statistics for the year must be up to date and reported to RI.
This is another reminder to all of us to get our attendance up to date as well as all of the make-ups that we are able to report. Ariane has been working hard to let members know if they have work to do in this regard.
As I mentioned in this space a couple of weeks ago reporting on our attendance at meetings and our various make-ups is one of our key responsibilities as Passport Club Rotarians. Please use some of your free time in the days and weeks ahead to look after this important task.
Once again, here's an important message from Rotary International:
Yours in Rotary,
Terry
April is Magazine Month (Part 3)
By Jacinthe Paillé
President-Elect 2020-21
To continue with Magazine Month, I would like to have you discover yet another regional magazine, Rotary Great-Britain & Ireland. You can find it here: https://www.rotarygbi.org/
One of the first things you can do is follow the magazine on Twitter and Facebook; that way you can get up-to-date information from the area. I always find it interesting to get Rotary news from around the world.
The magazine itself can be found there, and in the April-May issue, you can find an article entitled “Maintaining vision and looking ahead to 2021.” The text mentions that the Volunteer Expo, which was scheduled to take place in early May, has been postponed to next year. But in spite of this, the spirit of volunteering is still strong. Rotarians are people of action, and we can still do a lot to help! Read the text here: https://www.rotarygbi.org/magazine/april-may-2020/maintaining-the-vision-volunteer-expo-2021/
So much to read, and right now, for many of us, more time to do so! And this April 23rd is World Book Day, so keep reading
